Liquid Nitrogen is prepared in Liquid Nitrogen Plant where atmospheric air is initially compressed to 7 bar in a compressor. This highly compressed air which is in high temperature is cooled in the external refrigeration. The cooled air which is now totally compressed is passed through a moisture separator to remove the moisture from the air. The dry compressed air is then passed to a bed of molecular sieves where nitrogen and oxygen are separated. The parted nitrogen is then passed to a cryo cooler which produces liquid nitrogen. This is stored in a Dewar’s vessel.
